Scriptural Lesson
Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
Isaiah 45:1-3
Meditation
The power of the prophetic word is often not understood until its fulfillment. God used Isaiah is such an awesome way that many theologians cannot believe that Isaiah wrote the entire book that bears his name. They believe that the second part of the book of Isaiah had to be written by someone else because there is no way Isaiah could have prophesied, by name, the king that God would use to rebuilt the temple, 150 years before it happened. However, God knows who He will use.
God promises Cyrus that He will give him treasures and riches that are hidden. He will do this so that Cyrus will know that the Lord is the God of Israel. He also promises to make the crooked places straight and break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron. Forget about opening doors. God is promising here to break down the doors. What a mighty God we serve.
There is nothing that is too hard for God. There is nothing that is outside of God’s reach. God can speak of events 150 years before they happen. Cyrus would be born for a purpose.
We were also born for a purpose. God is also with us. He will go before us. God will break into pieces that gates that hold us back from our destiny. God will also give us treasures and hidden riches so that we will know that He is God. And God will make our crooked places straight.
Are there things that are holding you back? Does it look like doors are closing before you one after another? Does the path before you look crooked and hard to maneuver? Don’t despair. God will lead and guide you. He will make your crooked paths straight.
Affirmations
God is with me. There are no doors that can hinder me from my destiny. God will lead and guide me on my path. I am gratefully rejoicing for the promise that God will make my crooked places straight.

How can He: ” Make The Crooked Ways Straight ” – when His Own People aren’t actively listening? He can’t… and no one can. Therefore, He has decided to wake you up; and I hope that you’re ready… for: ” The Time Of Jacob’s Trouble ” – as long ago prophesied – is now coming upon you!
